"Joyful Encounters" Gypsy Magic Off-site Equine Outreach Programs

Our team brings the Gypsy Magic horses to visit a variety of in-need and/or educational locations. These visits promote the human-animal bond, involve an exchange of unconditional love, and often gently evoke positive emotional and spiritual connections. They bring love, joy, smiles and laughter!
How does the Off-site Outreach Program work?
We require to visit the center and meet with the coordinator, see the location, and decide if it will be a safe place to hold the outreach visit. We require an outdoor location that people can safely be brought to see the horses within a safe distance. We will also need a no busy traffic area to park the horse trailer and unload the horses.
We then set a date with the center, bring a few horses to the location during mild weather and allow the visitors to gently interact with the horses. These sorts of visits usually last 1 hour or so. We never rush anyone through a visit, and we allow the horses to share their wonderful “Gypsy Magic” with the visitors. Our newest Pet Partners candidate Bentley will be tested in 2024.

Elder Care Center Visits
Our team brings joy and happiness to local seniors confined to nursing homes and assisted living centers. Equine therapy has proven to be a powerful antidote for feelings of loneliness, dependency, and isolation often experienced by seniors who are unable to live in their own homes or with family members. Often times, seeing the horses reminds people of their lives, and they start to share the most amazing stories. It is a wonderful and magical experience for everyone in attendance.
"Read With Me" Program
The Gypsy Magic "Read With Me" program is a wonderful and fun learning program. We take the horses to off site schools to help children with reading disabilities read to the horses.

Memory Care Centers
Memory Care Center visits with our horses have a wonderful effect for patients, often bringing back memories and into a place of the present. Experiences may not always be verbal, but can have a relaxing effect, can be tactile for the patients, give them a positive distraction and a sense of peace. |
