"Joyful Encounters" Gypsy Magic Equine Outreach Program
With Stacy Sutton Equine Program Professional and Roxanne Bishop

How do the At-Farm Outreach Programs work?
Off-site group coordinators are invited to Contact Us to discuss the details any any special needs of the group wanting to visit us. We then set a farm visit date with the center. We bring out a few horses for a meet and greet  in our covered arena location during mild weather and allow the visitors to learn about and gently interact with the horses. These sorts of visits usually last 1 hour or so. We never rush anyone through a visit, and we allow the horses to share their wonderful “Gypsy Magic” with the visitors. Our equine ambassador Yahtzee is a registered Pet Partners animal therapy horse. Our newest Pet Partners candidates Ri D Croi and Bentley will be tested in 2021.

Elder Care Center At-Farm Visits

Our team invites mobile-able local senior nursing homes and assisted living centers to visit us at the farm for joyful in-person encounters for seniors with our Gypsy Horses.
Therapeutic equine encounters have proven to be a powerful antidote for feelings of loneliness, dependency, and isolation often experienced by seniors who are unable to live in their own homes or with family members. This unique outing to the country is designed to be a gentle and joyful experience. Attendees are encouraged to visit with the horses, take a little guided tour around the farm, and stroll through the Gypsy Magic Garden. Often times, seeing the horses and visiting the farm reminds people of their lives, and they start to share the most amazing stories. It is a wonderful and magical experience for everyone in attendance.

Children's Hospitals and/or Home At-Farm visits

Picture
We invite our local Children hospital groups to visit the Gypsy Magic horses at our location for a few hours of fun. These visits prove to be a  therapeutic way for the kids to spend a few hours connecting with the horses and visit the countryside.

Children are encouraged to gently interact with the horses, play games, visit the Gypsy Magic community garden, and do an art project.

Easter Seals At Farm Visits

We invite our local Easter Seals groups to visit the Gypsy Magic horses at our location for a few hours of fun. We  invite Easter Seals members to gently interact with the horses and participate in the Gypsy Magic garden project.

Equine Assisted Coaching Program
With David Rude,
MA, CPC, EAC, CGW
& Equine Assistant

Equine Assisted Coaching Program (EAC) is based out of our facility and guided by Life & Equine Assisted Coach David Rude. EAC allows participants a unique environment and experience that promotes physical, occupational, and emotional growth through meaningful engagement with horses. EAC involves non-riding human and horse interactions from the ground with the coach as a facilitator.  These sessions guide participants on a journey of learning and understanding and individuals are encouraged to transfer the experiences they've had with the horses into their personal and professional lives.

The Gypsy Magic Community Garden Project
With Garden Program Director, David Rude

Picture
The Gypsy Magic Community Garden Project is a "small but mighty" community-based garden used for health benefits on many levels. The garden is a focus point of several of our programs. It provides food, a place of learning, growth and giving back. Several programs are offered and held in the garden and it has been thoughtfully designed to be accessible for disabled visitors.

Gypsy Magic Riding Lesson Program

Although currently we offer dismounted based programs, we are working towards having a Gypsy Horse riding lesson program that will enable some participants the opportunity to learn riding skills on our wonderful Gypsy horses. We hope to offer riding based program for our dismounted program graduates in the future.
